I love new socks

This post is a special tribute to Amanda, for being the best friend ever and sending me an amazing care package via snail mail. This package contained everything from chocolate to magazines to chewing gum to tissues to letters that you put up on the wall in the bathtub. Of course, there was also a package of new socks which I just love and so here is a photo of me with the new socks on:


This photo was taken last night when I was at Robert and Nell's house for supper. They are my Dutch friends and so we do all the touristy stuff together. You can also check out their website here although its in Dutch, but might still be exciting for some of your linguists out there.
We are also playing a game called koehandel, which translates into Cow Auction. Don't ask me how is works, but it is pretty amusing and it involves making farm animal sounds. The deck of cards looks like this:
