Weekend in Darling, Darling
This past weekend Graham and I travelled up the West Coast to visit the small town and Darling and take a look at all the spring flowers. September 1st is the unofficial 1st day of Spring in South Africa, so it was the perfect weekend to go. In the pics you can see our Citi VW Shuttle and pics from other excursions like lunch at the Groote Post vineyard, going to the show of Pieter Derk Uys, and the flowers and animals in the West Coast National Park. Darling is a small town, with little shops famous as the place where Pieter puts on his show as Evita, the most famous white woman in South Africa (he dresses as a woman and puts on a hilarious show about South Africans politics, past and current). Enjoy the pics.
