Highlights of the Wild Coast

Highlights...

In Durban:
> Eating lasagne that Avaleigh made
> Laughing and drinking with Mike Wood
> Swimming for the first time in the Indian Ocean

On the wild coast:
> Driving in the dark, down a dirt road, stopping around corners for the cows that sleep on the road
> Coasting into Port St. John's with the red gas light on in the car
> Arriving late at The Kraal and having to share one portion of dinner with Avaleigh because there wasn't enough for both of us
> Swimming in the surf with cows sleeping on the beach
> Meeting two Belgium girls and travelling with them, staying in a huge place, and saving money on gas
> Walking to hole in the Wall near Coffee Bay
> A road sign that was triagular and then just had a black filled in circle...black hole ahead???
> Making a plan to swim everyday until the end of the trip
> Stopping for: goats, cows, sheep, donkeys, dogs, pigs, and horses on the road
> Yesterday's road kill alone included: 3 dogs, one black pig, one goat and one large cow being eaten by a dog.

Forecast:
> Currently in Cintsa
> Plans for surfing tomorrow
> Beach volleyball and free wine in one hours time

Outlook:
> Good. The car (Sandra as she is affectionately referred to) is still working despite the dodgy roads. We are unscathed, tanned, with clean laundry and are only really in desperate need of a hair cut and a good meal that is meat free...but those things can wait for another day.
