Aloha
Hello! We finally made it to Kona Hawaii after flying to Vancouver and then through Seattle and LA before getting here. I'm now in a quaint internet cafe beside our hotel, as a jazzed up version of St.Nick plays on the radio. The weather is gorgeous, the perfect temperature as there is a lot of mist and overcast periods as large clouds hit the mountains up on the island, keeping it ideal for many activities. I've been up and run down the shoreline the last two mornings with my dad and sister, and we've already tasted a lot of the cuisine, as we've yet to pick up our rental car and drive around to a grocery store.
Highlights include:
Dad getting kicked out of the seat with double leg room on the flight from Vancouver to Seattle because it was an emergency exit and he was responsible for a family, so couldn't be responsible for the exit. The stewardess the said to the man in another seat, "Would you like to sit here? There's tons of leg room?" Very funny.
Going to a great pizza restaurant last night, where you could try 4 - 6oz of the beer on tap as the "taster's special". Mom and I shared this, and they brought the 4 glasses and placed them on a plasticized placemat with all the kinds so we would remember what we're drinking.
Running with what has been called "flock" of other runners each morning.
Watching the surfers out everyday.
Watching a huge cruise ship today, and the "booze cruise" out at see.
Enjoying the sun!
Keep in touch and happy holidays everyone. All the best,
Anna*
PS. Happy Birthday to Joe Horler.
PPS. Enjoy watching Thursday night tv everyone else.

Hey Anna, sounds like you're having fun. Temperatures are hovering around -24 with the wind. FUN. I hope your Christmas went well, thursday night TV is on hold until new episodes are back on, but it won't be the same without you. We're going to try to get steve to wear a blond wig and lululemon clothes and watch TV...but he hates TV so it might not work. Anyway, have a good new year!!
Matt
